“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

-Mahatma Gandhi

Welcome and thank you so much for taking the time to visit.

Like many women before, you came here because you’re longing for something more. Something exciting that will refresh your confidence and renew your soul. Maybe you’ve lost your sense of self as a woman since becoming a mother. Or you’re an overworked twenty-something who needs a day away from work to concentrate on you. Perhaps you’re finally at a point in your life where you are at peace with everything surrounding you and there couldn’t be a better time to celebrate.

Whatever your reason may be, I am here to help you celebrate this time in your life by giving you one of the most fulfilling experiences you will ever have. Oh and you get to walk away with the best portraits you’ve ever had of yourself.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

As a child, one of my teachers told me that the best things come in small packages. As a child in the 5th percentile for height, I was constantly teased for being small. Children and adults alike would comment on my size daily. Being small was ingrained in my sense of self. As I reached grade-school, I began to gain weight. Being small, a few pounds made a big difference on my tiny frame. Now I not only was teased for being small, but for being chubby. I can still remember the first time I heard one of the boys snicker about my size while standing behind me. That began the constant battle with myself and lifelong anxiety and depression. As a teenager and young adult, my mind was a prison of negative thoughts I couldn’t escape. Unhealthy eating habits plagued my adolescence and plummeting self esteem led me to toxic relationships.

After my first child, my outlook towards my body completely changed. My pregnancy and labor were extremely difficult but I managed to safely bring a beautiful, wonderful little baby girl into this world. For the first time ever, I was proud of my body and what it was capable of. I know have two spirited little girls and an amazingly supportive husband.

When my oldest daughter was a toddler, I began my photography business. As a fashion merchandising major, I had always gravitated towards fashion photography. Wanting to emulate the fashion styling I had poured over in magazines, I set out to create an experience that would give every day women the opportunity to have gorgeous, magazine worthy images to cherish for decades. I believe that our struggles give us the power to help others. I decided to specialize in photographing women because if I could help just one woman feel beautiful, it was worth it. If I could keep just one woman from feeling the way I felt about myself for so many years, who knows how many others she could help.

My mom always told me that if I found a job that I loved, it wouldn’t ever seem like a “job”. Life is amazing, and I am grateful to be here every single day. The women that come into my life through my business are vibrant, strong, confident, kind souls who allow me to step into their lives and photograph their real, beautiful selves.

Are you ready to create something beautiful together?
